Manners

What happened to the simple “Thank You”?
Malaysians don’t say that anymore.
You hold the door for them, they walk pass as if you are the doorman.
You hold the lift for them, they give you a scowl.
You stop to let their car pass on a narrow street, they drive pass as if it is their grandfathers road.

What happened to the simple “Sorry”?
Malaysians don’t say that anymore
You get stepped on the foot and the person just looks at you blank.
You get accidentally shove aside and the person walks away.
You car gets block because another car has double parked and you get stared at because you have inconvenience them.

What happened to our manners?
All it needs is to start with a simple Thank You and Sorry.

we always say people did not say Thank You and Sorry, what about ourself? Did we say the two important words to the people around us?

People just react according to our action and this becomes habit and daily reaction (behavior).

Some people think they have gold in their mouths and if they open it to say "thank you" or "sorry", it will fall out. Expressing gratitude with a simple but heartfelt thank you is different from just sending an email with a "thanks". It means a lot more when it is said. People should also know why are they saying thank you. Be aware of the amount of effort - no matter how small or big that has gone into maiking life a little easier for those on the receiving end.

don't just expect others for the “thank you” or “sorry” but ask ourselves if we have done that enough for others. if yes, then start ask for it else pls don’t.

To say the words Thank you and sorry is something that differentiates a normal person from a "the bigger person". It always takes a bigger person to express these words and mean them too, not say it for the sake of saying.

It's not that difficult to say thank you to show your appreciation towards someone. just say thank you. I understand that it's quite difficult to say sorry, especially when me made mistakes. And worse part, people don't apologize because of egoistic & emotional. Just admit when we did mistakes, but the most crucial part is we learn from our mistake and do not repeat the same mistake.
